A first Croatian translation of a French novel on people trafficing Le Chemin de Buenos Aires Londres was translated in the beginning of the 1930 for the progressive publishng house Binoza. representative of the investigative journalism, publishing numberless publications on encounters of difficult political and moral situations from all over the world. The novel was first published in French in 1927. Five years later, approximately at the time of this publication, Londres was killed in a fire on an ocean liner, taking him from China to France.
Binoza publishing house, was like Minarva and Nolit known for its modern book covers. This one was designed by an academic painted Zdenka Turkalj. The motif of a prostitute was taken from a German movie Die Dreigroschenoper, recorded in 1931.
Worldcat only lists one example outside Croatian libraries (City Library of Ljubljana).
