A unique detailed small manuscript map shows Mecca with the Great Mosque in the middle.
Place and Year: [Ottoman Empire, probably circa 1900].
Technique: Pencil and colour pencil drawing with manuscript annotations in black ink, on thin paper 21 x 17 cm (6.3 x 6.7 inches) (Very Good, soft folds wih tiny tears, some pin holes).
Marked are also locations and monuments, which were demolished with the later development of the city.
The map was probably made around 1900 or in the first years of the 20th century by a pilgrim to Mecca.
